Elling Hamso is a Meeting Management Consultant based in Norway. He has spent most of his career as a senior executive in the Norwegian oil and gas industry and later as a management consultant. He started an event agency in Norway in 2000 and the European Event ROI Institute together with Bernhard Aggeler in 2005. He is Past President of Meeting Professionals International Norway Chapter and has been a member of MPI’s European Council and Research Advisory Panel. Conference & Incentive Travel Magazine ranked him 5th on their list of the 50 most influential people in the UK meetings and events industry in 2006 and the Eventbranche magazine named him among the 40 most influential in the meetings and events industry in the Netherlands in 2010. He consults and speaks frequently on subjects such as ROI, events industry trends, strategic meeting management, meeting architecture, procurement and risk management. Hamso is a Management Sciences graduate and holds a Ph.D. in supplier – customer relationship strategies from Manchester University.

Rosa Garriga Mora is a native Catalonian born near Barcelona, Spain. After graduating in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Barcelona in 2008, she moved to London for a working gap year which included the famous department store Harrods and the red carpets of Hollywood movies premieres.

She then enrolled in a master’s degree in International Events Management with study time shared between Leeuwarden, The Netherlands and London Metropolitan University. When in London, she took a position as Events Supervisor at the Imperial College, until joining Event ROI Institute as Marketing and Media manager in the autumn of 2010.

Rosa is an active member of MPI, volunteering as Educational Assistant at the European Conference and selected for the Future Leaders Forum. She is especially interested in developing meetings for the future, embracing new technologies, Meeting Architecture and ROI. She completed the Meeting Architecture Process course during ROI Week, London, 2010. She is an active blogger and regular contributor to industry magazines and social media networks.

Rosa is also passionate about languages, speaking fluently Spanish, Catalan, English and French, is an avid reader and traveller, and has a keen interest in social media and the Internet.

Mariana Dimova is a translator and English teacher from Chisinau, in Moldova. With a degree in Foreign Languages, she speaks English, Russian, Romanian, Italian, Spanish and Turkish.

After her graduation, she combined her teaching career with different roles as Content Manager, translating official documents and websites.

At the Event ROI Institute, Mariana is in charge of Customer Relationship Management, handling databases and mailing campaigns.

Siegmar Ley is Managing Owner of HOST – Meeting & Event Services, based in Frankfurt, Germany. Since 1994 HOST has been serving national and international customers as Event Management Company, taking resposibility for the strategy, planning, organisation and evaluation of company events.

Siegmar Ley started his business career in the hotel industry and he is a graduate of the Hotel Management School in Berlin. He worked for well-known companies like Kempinski, InterContinental, Steigenberger and American Express before he started his own business in 1987 as a marketing consultant.

Peter Haigh is a performance improvement consultant based in London. He established Hamilton Haigh Associates in 2009 following a 30 year career in sales and marketing in the hotel industry. He has worked at corporate, regional and property level for companies such as Marriott, Le Meridien, Accor, The Ritz and The Savoy Group.

Peter has been a member of MPI for 16 years and has chaired the UK Chapter and The European Council. He became the first Certified ROI Practitioner in the European meetings and events industry in 2006 and has conducted extensive research on event evaluation practices in the UK. He regularly offers ROI Workshops, training courses and consulting services in the UK and abroad.

Mika Lehtinen is the founder and CEO of Troi Helsinki – a creative live communication agency in Finland and member of Twentyseven names, Europe´s live communication network. He has more than 25 years of experience in live communication concepts, meetings and events, exhibitions, showroom design, marketing, advertising and hotel management.

Mika has wide experience from numerous exhibition, congress, corporate and association event projects together with top brands like Nokia, Cisco Systems, Microsoft, IBM, Volvo, Land Rover 3M, Sodexho, L’Oreal, Finland Convention Bureau in more than 20 countries all over the world.

He has been giving speeches for BBM, MPI, Management Event, Finnish Association for Exhibitions, Congress Events, Interski events and training meeting planners, marketing and sales staff with corporate clients.

Awards and reconditions from EIBTM 2009 (best event evaluation award), Finpro 2009 (Social Media for World Expo in Shanghai 2010), Finnish Ministry of Labor 2008 (Best training focused organization in Finland).

His experience has been acknowledged with chairs in advertising, Skiing Instructor associations, Europe´s Live Communication network Twentyseven names, MPI (president elect of MPI Finland Chapter 2010).

Esther Binkhorst (1968) is founder and managing partner of Co-creations S.L., a Spanish based research consultancy conceptualizing and optimizing tourism and events experiences. She founded the company in Spain in 2006 after she moved from The Netherlands to Barcelona in 2002.

Besides teaching Events Management at ESADE-Sant Ignasi in Barcelona in the Tourism Degree and Research Skills in the Master Innovative Hospitality Management, she speaks at conferences and is a guest lecturer at various universities and business schools, both in Spain and abroad, about innovation based on co-creation for applications in the areas of tourism and events.

Before moving to Spain, she was researcher at Tilburg University in The Netherlands and obtained her Ph.D for a study on tourism experiences in 2002. She was project manager at the Tourism Department of CHN University Netherlands and research consultant at the Centre for Research and Statistics in Rotterdam.

Binkhorst received her Master Degree in Consumer Sciences from Wageningen University, The Netherlands, in 1993.

Esther is married and runs a family with three children.

Teun den Dekker (1983) runs, in partnership with Esther Binkhorst, Co-creations S.L., a consulting company in the field of leisure and events.

He has an educational background in services and hospitality management and wrote his master thesis for the European Centre for the Experience Economy about guest-employee interaction in hospitality environments. As junior consultant he gained experience in several projects in Spain and The Netherlands. His work is related to experience marketing, innovation by co-creation, knowledge development and creative entrepreneurship. Den Dekker is a guest lecturer at Zuyd University, Maastricht, The Netherlands.

Bart Heinrichs runs, in partnership with his wife Elisabeth Halbertsma, a consulting company for meeting architecture and ROI.

After being a management consultant for 5 years Bart has been active in the international meeting industry for more than 20 years as founder and managing director of Parthen, the meeting services company. In 2009 he stepped back as managing director and got involved in meeting architecture and the measurement of ROI, two subjects that are, in his opinion, strongly interrelated.

Bart is still major shareholder and non executive director of Parthen and he currently serves on the board of ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association).
